British-born Kate Matthams Spencer has worked in Paris as an editor, writer and translator since 2004, equipping herself with a unique Anglo-French perspective on international media and communications.

Her portfolio includes journalism (senior contributor for Forbes, as well as Luxos, Hercules Universal, Sleek and other independent titles) conceptual copywriting, translation, social and brand management work for clients in fashion & luxury (Chanel, Celine, Saint Laurent, Nike Air Jordan, the World Gold Council, Almasika, Messika, Lucien Pellat-Finet, ), food & drink (Veuve Clicquot, Danone, Champagne Frerejean Frères), beauty & lifestyle (Vichy, Lancôme, Clarins, Pierre Fabre, Winnow Life, EYESEEmag), and arts and culture (Zao Wou-Ki, Jean-Baptiste Huynh; photographer, Nadia Filatoff; art historian).

In 2012, she joined Condé Nast France to launch the English-language version of Vogue.fr, allowing the Vogue Paris brand to reach beyond French-speaking countries and enabling millions of fans, followers and users to access content from one of the world’s most influential fashion magazines across the digital ecosystem. She also produced bespoke video content under the Vogue Paris banner, featuring both key and up-and-coming figures in fashion, food and lifestyle, including Laura Bailey, Natalia Vodianova, Camille Charrière, Jonathan Anderson, Danielle Copperman, Jessie Western and Sophie Michell.

Alongside this, she worked on special projects and brand content at Condé Nast France, for top-tier clients including Chloé, Woolmark, Nike and Lancôme.

Kate previously launched and ran the English-language version of AuFeminin.com, Europe’s leading women’s interest Internet portal and has headed a digital magazine for a large multinational, managing a team of journalists based across Europe and Asia.

Her expertise includes conceptualising, English-language writing and editing; French > English translation, journalism and digital communications strategy and execution.
